Do you want to develop new job skills and improve your career?

WORKFORCE WORKSHOPS​

CARECEN's workforce support program offers 32 workforce development workshops each year for all job seekers. These workshops cover a wide variety of useful topics, such as:

  • Resume writing

  • Interview techniques

  • Workers' legal rights

  • Essential workplace English 

 

 

 

PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS

CARECEN has partnered with the Office for New Americans to offer our Professional Pathways program. This program assists highly-skilled immigrants in obtaining job placement in their fields. Professional Pathways offers individualized job coaching, job upskilling opportunities, and job seeking strategies to job seekers who:

  • Reside in New York State

  • Have lived in the United States for less than 10 years

  • Have a degree, certificate, or professional experience from their country of origin

  • Have work authorization in the United States

Meet Our Job Coach

Leslie Pérez

Leslie is a native Long Islander of Puerto Rican descent. Much of her experience has been in the non-profit sector, and she is honored to be a part of the great team at CARECEN that contributes so much to the welfare of immigrants. Leslie lives in Holbrook with her husband, three teenage children and three crazy dogs.
