What We Do
Holiday Toy Drive
Through our holiday toy drive, CARECEN’s Social Work team partners with local stakeholders to bring joy to immigrant children during the holidays. Our toy drive offers a chance for community members to share with immigrant families who may not otherwise have access to gifts. We collect items for all ages, and allow parents to choose the right gift for their child. Thanks to our wonderful partners and Social Work team, CARECEN provides holiday cheer to approximately 100 immigrant children each year.
Through our Students Rise fundraiser, CARECEN’s Social Work team provides school supplies for immigrant children to help prepare them for academic success each fall. Through this initiative, we are able to remove some of the barriers that make education challenging for immigrant youth, equipping more than 50 children each year to take on the school year ahead.
